Hey People,

How's your week going? Mine has been quite busy. I have been preparing for the Ankara fest on Saturday taking place in Hollywood. I wish I knew about it earlier, I probably would have made some clothes to exhibit, but right now I have a stand so I am making jewelry to sell. I never pegged myself as a jewelry maker but it seems your girl has quite a knack for it and under the short notice it was the only thing I could do. :)

I said in my last post I said that I had been trying fabric painting. Well! Here is the result! Will you wear the top? I made everything i'm wearing. I am pretty proud of the results. Hope you like! Enjoy!

How's your week going? Mine has been going well so far. I've been experimenting with paint and I'd show that in my next post, I'm pretty excited about it, I have been painting whatever I can lay my hands on. lol!

Thou art Lace!

Hey People!

How is was your weekend? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they could go on forever. My weekend was pretty chill, just hung out with friends and started watching a new TV show called V. It's about this alien that came to earth for breeding purposes and all, and how humanity is so enamored with her and all the gifts they brought not knowing that their intentions were not so good.
It just got me thinking about how one has to be careful about people who have the best intentions because ultimately everyone seeks for their good first, it is just human nature to be selfish.

Enough about my ranting! So! I made this dress for my grad in July and I decided to wear it again so you guys could see what I wore. Most people thought I was not wearing anything underneath because I made the lining very close to my skin color. It was fun watching the shock on people's faces when I walked by. We make it peplum

Hi People,

I am trying to be organised this week, so far I have done three things on my to-do list. I am so proud of myself because this is the first time ever I have done anything I write down. lol! I sort of just get them done whenever. I hope I can keep it up throughout this week.
I have been seeing peplum all over the place and it is surprising, I din't know it would come back in style so fast because some three years ago that was what we were rocking, Anyhoo! I respect those of  you who follow trends because as far as I am concerned it is a full time job.
This was my attempt at converting one of my tops to a peplum style top with a belt, we make do with what we have. lol! the top, skirt and necklace were all made by yours truly. I hope you like? Enjoy!

I know some of you would be wondering if those are the only pair of shoes I own? lol! I don't know why it goes with everything, or maybe I just like them too much. lol!

Crop Love.

Hey People,

I don't know why I love crop tops so much. I see myself reaching for them when I go shopping or even making them when I sew. Now this top you all have seen before here, I decided to wear it with a skirt this time around and I don't know which look I prefer. lol! Which look do you prefer? Let me know Hope you like! Enjoy!

On another note, this heat has not been funny at all. I have rashes all over my face, I don't know why the rashes can't go to a less obvious part of the body. I cannot wait for summer to be over. I love fall! because that is when I can start layering and the colors are so beautiful then.

Stripes and Flowers

Hey People,

How are you doing? How has your week been going? Mine has been going wonderfully well! I just saw myself in these pictures and realised how dark I had gotten. For the past two weeks the weather has been in the 90's out here in LA. Its like my sunscreen has refused to work, or maybe it is the swimming. I have never been this dark even when I was in Nigeria under the hot sun. It seems the sun that shines here is different. lol!

For this look, I tried the mixing print trend again, (see my first try here) and I loved how it turned out, the top, pants and belt were thrifted, while the necklace and oversize clutch were made by me. I hope you like. Enjoy!
